Signing you in…Continue to your cards
Collection intelligence for Magic: The Gathering

Know where every card actually lives.

For players with real collections: bind every printing, finish, and condition to the exact box, binder, or deck it’s sitting in, then find any card in seconds. Your trackers know what you own. Grimoire knows where it is.

You own four copies of that card. Which box? Which deck did you pull one into last week? Your collection is scattered across a dozen longboxes and eight decks, and your tracker only knows the what, never the where.

“I own it. I just can’t find it.”

The wedge

Trackers tell you what you own. Grimoire tells you where it is.

Every other tracker

  • What you own, and how many
  • Condition and rough value
  • Decklists and wishlists
  • Where any of it physically is. “…somewhere in a binder.”

Grimoire Cards

  • Everything a tracker does: quantities, finish, condition
  • The exact box, binder page, or deck holding this copy
  • This precise printing & finish, right now, not “someday”
  • Which decks each physical copy is committed to
Card-level physical location is one of the most-requested, never-shipped features on the biggest deck builders. That gap is the whole reason Grimoire exists.
The location engine

Every owned card, threaded to exactly one real place.

Not loose labels. A structured map. Binder → page → pocket. Bulk box. Deck box. Shelf. Any location you name, down to the slot.

Slot-level precision

“Binder 2, page 14, pocket 3.” “Greens bulk box.” “Ur-Dragon deck box.” The answer to where is it? is always specific.

Bound to the exact copy

The Kaldheim etched foil, near-mint, not a generic name. Printing, finish, and condition travel with the location.

Honest conflicts

“This copy is promised to two decks.” “You own it, but it’s still sleeved in Prosper.” Your inventory stops lying to you.

The one rule everything is built on

A location is reality: a card is in exactly one place. A deck or list is an idea: it can reference many. Grimoire never blurs the two, so what you see is always true.

Under the hood

Everything a serious collection needs

Built on the complete Scryfall catalog, tuned for people who actually move cardboard.

The exact printing, finish & condition

Not just “a Thoughtseize.” The specific printing and finish (nonfoil, foil, etched) at its real condition and count, from 500,000+ catalogued printings, with the true high-res image of that card.

Conflict detection

See when one physical copy is quietly promised to two decks, or when a card you “own” is still sleeved in another build. No more double-counting the same cardboard across brews.

Owned · needed · missing

Overlays on lists and on typed decks (Commander and beyond) with format validation, resolved down to an exact pull location instead of a vague “you own it somewhere.”

Gameplay-aware search

Search the full catalog, your exact inventory, and your physical locations at once. Find any card by what it does and where it lives, in one query.

Import and own

One-step import from ManaBox (CSV) and Archidekt or a pasted decklist. Grimoire becomes your system of record, not another silo you have to re-key.

The whole catalog, cached

A complete local Scryfall snapshot (every set, every finish, every printing) powering accurate images, overlays, and search with no live lookups while you browse.

Three steps

Import, place, find

You’re not re-keying a thing. Import what you already have, then place it, and Grimoire becomes your system of record.

I

Import

Bring your collection in from a ManaBox CSV or an Archidekt or pasted decklist in one pass. Grimoire matches by exact identifier and sends anything ambiguous to a review queue. It never invents cards or silently doubles your inventory.

II

Place

Assign cards to real, named locations (bulk boxes, binders, deck boxes, shelves, anything you invent) as stacks that carry printing, finish, condition, and quantity. A card is in exactly one place at a time.

III

Find

Search across everything and instantly see where any card physically is and what it’s committed to. Move a card and reality updates everywhere, so your inventory never goes stale.

In development · Deck Forge

“What can I build right now, without buying anything?”

Because Grimoire knows exactly what you own and where it is, it can answer the question no decklist can. Deck Forge will read your real inventory and forge complete Commander decks from the cards already on your shelf. It’s coming, and getting in early shapes where it goes.

Questions

Before you bring your collection in

Do I have to type my collection in by hand?

No. Import a ManaBox CSV export (one box or binder at a time) or an Archidekt export or pasted decklist. Exact matches import straight away; anything ambiguous waits in a review queue where you pick the printing yourself, so nothing is guessed and nothing is silently doubled.

What if I don’t know where a card is yet?

Cards you haven’t placed live in a system “Unassigned” location, so nothing is lost. Move them into a real box, binder, or deck box whenever you get to it. A card is always in exactly one place.

Can the same card be in two decks?

A deck or list is an idea and can reference any card. A physical copy is in exactly one place. Mark a copy as in place in one deck and Grimoire flags the conflict if another deck expects that same cardboard, instead of counting it twice.

Which cards does it know about?

Every printing in the Scryfall catalog: every set, language, and finish, refreshed on a schedule, with card images cached so browsing stays fast even with a large collection.
